He is one of only two ICC Certified Trainers for Incoterms\u00ae 2020 Rules in the US, is a Licensed US Customs Broker, and has an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. Based in the Austin area, his focus is on the development of compliance programs and training tailored for the corporate environment in the areas of import compliance\/export controls, transfer pricing\/valuation for international transactions, classification according to the HTSUS, service provider management, and the strategic use of Incoterms\u00ae Rules. He has managed CTPAT validations in North America, Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n
Mr. O\u2019Meara is a frequent speaker in North America. Some of his events included conferences sponsored by the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing (AIM), the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago (ICNC), the International Compliance Professional Association (ICPA), the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI), the American Conference Institute (ACI), the Kane County Bar Association of Illinois (KCBA), the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago (ITA\/GC), the Small Business Development Center of the SBA (SBDC), and the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM). Among other educational institutions in the Chicagoland area, he has been a guest lecturer at DePaul University and Loyola University.<\/p>\n
He enjoyed six years as the President of the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago and has been designated by the US Secretary of Commerce as a member of the Illinois District Export Council.
